First Hawaiian Bank

Honolulu Stadium

Title: Aloha to Honolulu Stadium

Medium: acrylic on canvas

Description: This bas relief assemblage depicts souvenirs and events from Honolulu Stadiums' history. Mickey Mantle swings the bat and the balls trajectory archs across. At its apex is a 45 RPM record "Farewell to Honolulu Stadium."

Bank of Hawaii is built where Honolulu Stadium once stood. My intent was to organize historical info in a fun and visually pleasing way that says abundance, not clutter. In lower left Babe Ruth hits the ball, it's trajectory draws an arc which is a visual unifying element. A rainbow- the bank's logo
